"Buying our first place was quite an experience, nothing of which we have had before. It was both exciting yet very scary. It was also quite a roller coaster ride. We probably would not have seen it through, had it not been for Alana. Alana Galvin, from Suburban Homes and Condos made it all happen.
When we came to Alana, we were both excited, yet hesitant. It was a major step for us, as it is for many people. Alana showed us many condos, based on what we told her we were looking for. It didn't take her long to find exactly what we wanted.
When our bid was accepted, the fun began. It meant shopping for furniture and all of the other things that we would need for our new home. There was a time, when shopping for the couches when we couldn't agree on what the carpet color was, so...call Alana. She probably thought we were out of our minds. There were many other questions that came up that we were unsure of the correct answers, so...call Alana. "What do you think?" or "What would you do?" were questions often asked of her. We had never felt so completely at ease and comfortable with someone over such a short period of time and felt that we could completely trust her judgement. She knew we were in unfamiliar territory in buying our first place and went above and beyond to lead us in the right direction.
When it all finally looked like it was coming together, we hit some big bumps in the road, financially. Two or three times it looked like we had to walk away from the place that we so much wanted to call home. There were repeated phone calls back and forth that put us at the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It was a roller coaster ride that was almost not fun anymore. Alana would not let up. She pursued every avenue for us. It was almost like it was meant to be, but at the same time, her work and dedication is what brought us the keys to our new condo.
There may be plenty of great stories out there about how homes are bought and sold, but ours, we will never forget. Never in our wildest dreams did we know what we were in for the day we walked into her office, but we are so glad we did."
